Sino-Israeli IT forum held in SZ

THE First Sino-Israeli IT Innovation and Cooperation Forum, focusing on Internet of Things (IoT) and intelligent equipment, was held at the Shenzhen Research Institute of The Chinese University of Hong Kong on Saturday.

The forum was arranged into two parts, namely IT innovation and cooperation, and IT technology commercialization.

"We understand that Guangdong Province is one of the largest economies in China. We need to understand and accelerate their products from 'made in China' to 'innovate in China,'" said Eran Taub of the Israeli enterprise, Bebear, while delivering a speech on "E-commerce Marketing System based on Internet and AI."

Chen Ying with Shenzhen's science and technology innovation commission said that the cooperation between Shenzhen and Israel dates back a long time, and practical cooperation between the two started in 2011.

Since 2012, six rounds of joint-sponsorship have been carried out, involving 13 projects. Up to now, Shenzhen has sponsored projects with 19.6 million yuan (US$3.1 million), at 1 to 2 million yuan for each project.
